Arrow in EMEA strategic partner deal with Symantec

Arrow Electronics has become a strategic distribution partner for security vendor Symantec across the EMEA region. Following the acquisition of Blue Coat by Symantec in 2016, Arrow has renewed its distribution contract with Symantec.

Prior to the acquisition, Arrow had distributed the products and solutions of both companies in numerous countries. Arrow has now extended its collaboration with the company. The new contract covers the Czech Republic, the DACH region, France, Hungary, Italy, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Scandinavia and the Baltic States, Spain, the UK and Ireland.

Arrow is now one of the largest SOSP's (Symantec Secure One Services Partner) in EMEA. Dominique Loiselet, vice president of channels EMEA at Symantec, said: "Key to the close cooperation with Arrow is the diversity of Arrow's value-added services, including innovative training sessions as an authorised training partner (ATC), proof-of-concept services and product testing capabilities, pre- and post-sales services and know-how transfer.”

Nick Bannister, senior director and head of networking and security at Arrow Enterprise Computing Solutions EMEA, said: "Our dedicated Symantec product teams are best placed to pass on their knowledge and expertise to customers around the security benefits of Symantec's products and services.”

Arrow recently launched its Things Evolved: IoT Innovator Programme across the EMEA region to help the channel win more Internet of Things business.
