Hollis wins Mist intelligent WiFi deal

AI-driven wireless systems said to be in demand

Service provider Hollis Technology has been appointed an Authorised Reseller Partner for Mist, a pioneer in self-learning wireless networks using artificial intelligence.

Hollis will be responsible for supplying and supporting the full range of Mist AI-driven wireless platforms and Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) location-based services to customers UK-wide.‎

“We are seeing enormous demand for next generation wireless cloud solutions that ensure fast, reliable, predictable and measurable WiFi and high value BLE location services,” said Mike Anderson, vice president of channel sales at Mist.

“Hollis Technology provides a range of business solutions and can demonstrate a real understanding of the wireless market. Hollis will play an important role in building UK market share.”

The Mist Learning WLAN delivers insight into the user experience and eliminates the operational burdens of legacy wireless architectures by replacing time consuming manual tasks with proactive automation.

Simon Hollister, sales director of Hollis Technology, said: “Mist has developed a unique range of solutions using innovative cloud architectures and machine learning to automate wireless operations.  As well as providing Hollis with a competitive advantage, Mist will give our customers predictable, reliable and cost effective access to wireless networking that will deliver significant productivity gains.”

California-headquartered Mist was founded in 2014 and is funded by the likes of Lightspeed Venture Partners, Norwest Venture Partners, GV (formerly Google Ventures) and Cisco Investments.

Last month, US storage vendor QSAN Technology appointed Hollis as a reseller for its XCube series of products which bring enterprise-class features to small and medium sized businesses.

The QSAN XCube series provides a scalable storage solution that meets the SAN and NAS requirements of organisations and provides secure data protection and comprehensive data management, said the vendor.

Shropshire-based Hollis recently achieved Microsoft Silver Small and Midmarket Cloud Solutions competency.
