Dutch specialist in Cloud Computing and IT Services, ISGroup, is buying Desktop-as-a-Service (DaaS) and hosted applications provider RDC Xtended, a subsidiary of RDC Group.
"Xtended's innovative proposition and complete range of cloud-based financial and HR applications signifies a strong addition to our successful DeskHub solution which in 2014 has shown 80% revenue growth" comments Jan Willem des Tombe, ISG's chief executive officer.
Xtended will - after a migration period - relocate to the IS Group offices and will fully merge with IS Group's activities. The management board of IS Group remains unchanged in the hands of Jan Willem des Tombe and Arjan Steevels. The acquisition of Xtended directly contributes to the financial result of IS Group, it says.
The company's platforms and portfolio of applications will be merged with ISG's DeskHub proposition and there will be further investments in expanding platform capacity to keep up with market demand. ISG sees strong extra revenue potential in Xtended's customers and partners also making use of ISG's HyperGrid (hybrid cloud computing platform) and CrossNet (connectivity) solutions as well as a broad array of managed and security services.
Jan Willem des Tombe: "We firmly believe that, in our business, scale of operations and innovations are crucial in staying ahead and continuing to lead this market in which technological developments mature rapidly. For this reason, selective strategic acquisitions that directly contribute to our financial result make part of our company strategy. ISG has successfully acquired and integrated 12 companies, which has led to the valuable experience of doing this in the most effective way. Xtended is a great addition to this."
