Data protection specialist NAKIVO is accelerating its channel expansion across the UK and Europe while preparing to launch new MSP-focused features designed to simplify deployment and boost cyber-resilience.

Founded in 2012, the US-based company has grown to serve over 16,000 customers in 183 countries through more than 8,000 partners worldwide. Its flagship platform, NAKIVO Backup & Replication, combines data protection, ransomware recovery and disaster recovery for virtual, physical, cloud and SaaS environments.

“Our platform combines advanced features, superior performance and flexible deployment with a fraction of the cost of legacy competitors,” said Anton Shelepchuk, VP of Worldwide Sales at NAKIVO. “We’re trusted by organisations with strict cybersecurity standards, and our goal is to make comprehensive data protection easy to deploy, manage and monetise — particularly for MSPs.”

In the UK, NAKIVO is appointing a new distributor and deepening ties with its top thirty resellers. The company is also targeting virtualisation-focused partners through tailored training and marketing, supported by appearances at IT conferences, trade shows and partner events.

Across Europe, NAKIVO has reported 30% year-on-year growth compared with 2024, with standout results in The Netherlands (up almost 3,000%), Belgium (207%) and Switzerland (53%). Italy and France have also delivered double-digit gains. Established distributors such as Arrow in Germany, ComputerGross in Italy and SQP in France have helped drive this performance, while new agreements with NSS in Greece and Cyprus, MSP Nordics across Scandinavia, API GmbH in Germany and CyberLion in Israel are expanding its regional footprint.

A key element of NAKIVO’s strategy is its partner programme, which Shelepchuk describes as “simple, transparent and built around enablement.” The four-tier structure rewards partners as they grow, with increasing discounts, marketing reimbursements, NFR licences and lead sharing. The company has kept its channel leadership stable, which Shelepchuk says gives partners consistency and confidence.

The vendor is also launching a major update to its MSP solution, including MSP Direct Connect, which allows secure access to tenant environments without VPNs or open ports. This is aimed at removing one of the biggest hurdles in MSP onboarding. New multi-tenancy capabilities, resource allocation tools and a unified console are designed to help partners manage up to 100 tenants with a single deployment. Flexible pricing models support different service strategies.

Security remains central to NAKIVO’s offering. Features such as immutable backups, air-gapped storage, integrated malware scanning, encryption and tiered storage give partners a solid technical foundation, while multi-tenant dashboards provide visibility and early anomaly detection. These capabilities are backed by extensive partner education programmes, including webinars, best practice guides and multi-language resources to help partners respond to emerging AI-enhanced ransomware threats.

Shelepchuk believes this combination of technical innovation, commercial flexibility and partner enablement will help NAKIVO stand out in a crowded data protection market. “Differentiation and enablement go hand in hand,” he said. “By giving partners the right tools and support, we’re helping them capture new opportunities in backup, DRaaS and cyber-resilience.”
