Trend Micro adds distributor in Russia

Sees Russia as a good opportunity, especially in cloud, and wants new partners

Trend Micro has announced a new distribution partnership by signing OCS Distribution for Russia.

Under the terms of a deal, OCS will sell Trend Micro products through its partners covering the territory of the Russian Federation.

Trend Micro says is has consistently seen Russian market as a good opportunity with an increased business and expects further growth in areas such as protection for users (Complete User Protection), security for the cloud environments and data centres (Cloud and Data Centre Security) as well as general protection against threats (Advanced Persistent Threats, APT).

“With the advent of the Russian market for the new Trend Micro products, we are more interested in expanding the partner network and attracting new partners with special expertise in the field of the information security and experience in large and complex projects implementation for the corporate customers. We believe that the high quality of work and goodwill of OCS will help us solve the challenges we face,” says Keith Maskell, regional manager of Trend Micro Russia.

“The key for OCS is to establish its channel partner network in order to provide solutions which meet the customer needs at best. Now as we have started to work with Trend Micro we are ready to offer our customers a new range of comfortable and versatile tools for information security for the Russian enterprises,” adds Vice President OCS Distribution, Ruslan Chinjakov.

OCS Distribution is a broad-line technology distie with 29 offices across Russia. The main activity of OCS is the distribution (with no end-user sales) of computers, telecommunication equipment, peripherals, ILM-solutions, computer components, infrastructure software as well as consumer electronics and interactive entertainment products, it says.
