Aqilla, the cloud-based accounting and reporting vendor, has appointed Mark Simmance to the newly created position of head of partnerships. He will be responsible for recruiting, managing and supporting new and existing partners.
Target partners include, but are not limited to, software vendors and IT consultants specialising in accounting and financial installations.
Aqilla is also launching a new partner programme, which Simmance will manage. The programme has four tiers: Bronze: Referral Partner, Silver: Co-Reseller, Gold: Reseller, and Platinum: Accredited.
“Aqilla has always worked closely with partners, but it was very much on a case-by-case basis, and we didn’t proactively recruit them,” said Hugh Scantlebury, Aqilla CEO and founder. “Mark’s appointment and the official launch of our partner programme are both part of our strategy to ramp up partner recruitment and lay the foundations for Aqilla’s future growth.”
“Our ideal partners will be looking to provide their customers with innovative, modern finance and accounting solutions,” added Simmance. “As part of my role, I will help partners deploy Aqilla’s cloud-based solution to automate key accounting and finance processes, improve report generation speeds, and deliver advanced financial analysis capabilities.”
