Checkmarx hires new VP of worldwide channels and alliances

Global software security company Checkmarx has appointed Mark Osmond as vice president of worldwide channels and alliances.

Osmond (pictured), who has over two decades of channel and alliances leadership, joins Checkmarx from Veeam Software, where he most recently served as director of the global cloud and service provider program.

In his new role, he will focus on leveraging the firm’s partner relationships to generate new business opportunities, increase revenue growth and expand Checkmarx’s channel ecosystem.

“We are thrilled to welcome Mark and tap into his unique experiences and invaluable relationships to support our growing team,” said Checkmarx CRO, Roman Tuma. “Our partners play a vital role in ensuring that organisations across the globe are able to combat the growing and changing threats, and we’re confident that Mark brings the necessary experience and drive to bolster Checkmarx’s existing channel ecosystem.”

With over 1,600 customers, including nearly half of the Fortune 50, Checkmarx claims it is a channel-first organisation that empowers partners to equip their clients with application security solutions for developers, security and DevOps teams.

“I’m both honoured and excited to be joining the Checkmarx team,” added Osmond. “I look forward to expanding on the already robust channel and alliance programme and continuing to leverage the rapidly growing AST market, with the ultimate mission of having a direct positive impact on our partners and the organisations they protect.”
