Fortinet acquires Lacework to bolster cybersecurity platform

Security vendor Fortinet has strengthened its cybersecurity platform by acquiring Lacework, an AI-driven cloud-native application protection platform (CNAPP). 

This strategic move enhances Fortinet's Security Fabric offering with advanced cloud security technology.

The acquisition adds 225 patents, increasing Fortinet's global patent count to over 1,800, and brings experienced sales teams and engineers to its workforce.
