IHS, specialist in technology solutions for the hotel industry, has announced the acquisition of a US-based provider of reservations solutions InnLink LLC.

Financial details of the acquisition remain undisclosed.
IHS says it hopes that the acquisition will help build its position in the American market while leveraging the market synergies and InnLink’s established customer base.

At the moment, IHS operates four business units across the hospitality sector. Apart from the recently-acquired InnLink, this includes a reservations services provider Trust International, a hotel group Worldhotels and a sales management solutions specialist Nexus World Services. This gives altogether a reach of 20,000 hotels in 65 countries which translates into hotel guests generating over $3bn revenue each year, the company says.

“InnLink LLC perfectly complements the IHS portfolio. We were particularly impressed by the company’s potential for growth, its high level of expertise as well as its world-class product set and services. Together we can offer an enhanced set of solutions to our customers worldwide,” says Steve Rowley, IHS’ chairman and CEO.
