Unified communications vendor Mitel has appointed Bill Dunnion as its CISO to lead its information security strategy, architecture, and compliance efforts.
Dunnion (pictured) will also develop and implement best practices for security across Mitel.
With two years of experience in key IT and cybersecurity roles at companies like Calian, 2Keys Security Solutions, and Bell Canada, Dunnion recently directed Calian’s corporate cybersecurity program as their Senior Director of Corporate Cybersecurity.
Jamshid Rezaei, CIO at Mitel, said: “Bill’s proven leadership, combined with his considerable experience in implementing and operationalizing cybersecurity policies and procedures, is a great asset for Mitel."
Dunnion added: "The security threats that businesses face today are ever-changing, which makes it critical for organisations to implement agile solutions that maintain the confidentiality, residency, and protection of the data that employees and end-users rely on.”
