Pulsant is bolstering its Manchester data centre with a £4.5m investment to enhance edge computing capabilities and connectivity for local businesses.
Slated for completion by December 2023, the extension of Data Hall 4 within the facility will advance edge computing accessibility in the West through its platformEDGE.
The investment will add 300kW of IT capacity and enlarge the facility by 320m^2.
Ben Cranham, COO at Pulsant, said: “This extends our commitment to support the growing technology demand for regional data centre access and colocation services across the north west.
“It supports Greater Manchester Council digital strategy and evolving regional ecosystem, enabling Manchester to become one of the leading digital economies in the next five years.”
