atNorth has bolstered its HPC capabilities and broadened its presence in the Nordic region by purchasing Gompute.

This deal brings Gompute's Gothenburg-based data centre under atNorth's umbrella.

By integrating Gompute's HPC technology, its engineering talent, and its clientele with atNorth's HPC-as-a-service and colocation services, the company aims to provide enhanced HPC and AI solutions throughout the Nordic region.

atNorth’s CEO, Eyjolfur Magnús Kristinsson said: “This acquisition will ensure that we can continue to meet this demand fast enough, keep up with global market needs, and power next-generation sustainable IT operations from the Nordics region.”

The acquisition, subject to conditions, is expected to be finalised by the end of September.
