Atos is in exclusive talks with Schneider Electric to sell EcoAct, its climate consulting and net-zero solutions provider.
This sale wouldn't include Atos's own Net Zero Transformation practice, which plans to partner with Schneider on decarbonization projects.
Atos has set a goal to reach net-zero carbon emissions by 2039, the company said.
Steve Wilhite, President, Sustainability Business at Schneider Electric, said: “By combining forces with EcoAct, we would expand our team of sustainability consultants and our ability to deliver strategic value to our clients, accelerating the transition to the carbon-free energy future.”
The deal is projected to close in the second half of this year.
