Cloud service provider BSO has acquired fellow CSP InterCloud to extend its global footprint further. InterCloud is a software-defined cloud interconnect (SDCI) provider.
The acquisition allows BSO to “substantially expand its portfolio”, said the provider, now offering direct, secure, and optimised access to a broad spectrum of cloud platforms, while “fortifying its robust connectivity infrastructure”.
Michael Ourabah, CEO and co-founder of BSO, said: "This acquisition underscores our commitment to enhancing the resilience and agility of our customers' IT infrastructures worldwide. By integrating InterCloud into our offering, we are positioned as the premier partner for companies seeking to seamlessly migrate and manage their cloud environments across borders."
The integration of InterCloud's technologies will enable BSO to enhance its expertise in multi-cloud network optimisation, security management, and data governance, while also responding “more agilely to the innovation needs of businesses”, it said. The acquisition further accelerates BSO's strategic focus on sectors where “cloud service excellence is paramount”, namely finance, healthcare, critical infrastructure, and the energy industry, among other sectors.
BSO says it is implementing “significant operational and commercial synergies”, leveraging its 11 global offices, “extensive” network, and “strong” partnerships with leading technology and cloud providers to deliver “even faster, more reliable, and more secure connectivity”.
BSO says it has over 650 clients across key industries, operating a global network over 240 points of presence (PoPs) across 33 countries.
A few years ago, BSO was brought in by global data centre services provider OVHcloud as an Advanced Partner, for its expertise in cloud managed services. BSO joined fellow OVHCloud Advanced Partners in managed services, including ViRSO, Certilience and Irontec.
The BSO Plus offering includes managed service solutions for hosted private cloud, hybrid cloud and multi-cloud environments, DevOps-as-a-service, Kubernetes, extensions and data centre migration. BSO Plus also offers public cloud cost optimisation, as well as proactive equipment monitoring, alerting and resolution.
