TalkTalk Wholesale Services has appointed Ruth Kennedy as chief sales officer, with immediate effect.
TalkTalk competes against the likes of BT, Virgin Media, Sky and many others in the UK broadband and connectivity services space, offering B2B and B2C services, both direct and through channel partners. TalkTalk Wholesale Services is the B2B arm that sells services through 650 partners.
Kennedy (pictured) has been with TalkTalk Group for ten years, holding a variety of roles both in Wholesale and most recently as group fibre development director. She has also previously lead TalkTalk’s carrier sales unit.
In addition to her appointment, after 20 years of service, Richard Thompson, managing director of Wholesale, is leaving TalkTalk to “pursue a new challenge”, said the company.
“I welcome Ruth into this new role, she’s ideally placed to ensure we keep both our partners and customers at the heart of everything we do, as we push towards a future based around full-fibre and higher-bandwidth data services,” said Nick Gunga, managing director of TalkTalk Wholesale Services.
Kennedy added: “High quality affordable connectivity is such a fundamental plank of everyday life that it’s no surprise that an increasing number of companies in all sorts of sectors are looking to offer it to their customers. I’m looking forward to showing them we are the ideal partner.”
