Telia appoints ex-Telenor exec Hofbauer as CEO

Patrik Hofbauer, ex-head of Telenor Sweden and Canal Digital, will become the CEO of Telia Company from February 1, 2024, succeeding Allison Kirkby who's joining BT.

Hofbauer has held numerous leadership roles, including CEO of Clear Channel in Sweden and NEC Scandinavia. 

He is currently the CEO of Svenska Spel, Sweden's state-owned gambling operator.

Lars-Johan Jarnheimer, Telia Company’s Chair of the Board, said: “The Board and I are convinced that Patrik is the right person to continue leading this work as President and CEO, together with Telia’s experienced executive management team and dedicated colleagues across the organisation.”
