We catch up with Mark Olding and Tako Nijssen from Kaspersky to highlight some of the key messages discussed at Channel-Sec Live 2020.
Following brief discussions at Channel-Sec, IT Europa invited Kaspersky into a virtual call on the changes it has seen in the market in 2020 and its views on strategies going forward. Mark Olding, presales manager at Kaspersky told us about how the channel message has switched rapidly to end-points. Northern European MSP lead Tako Nijssen also reflected on how the MSPs were getting set for 2021.
“As more people are working from home, the endpoint is one of the most important things. We have a sense of freedom, but we need to ensure the endpoints are protected and that we understand how security works,” says Mark Olding.
“Flexibility and the move to the cloud are the biggest trends. But being an MSP is no longer a differentiator. Having a good security posture and monetising all the extra features is a way to stand out from the rest. Channels should invest some time in understanding the products and in being able to explain the concepts. For us 2021 means more MSPs signing up with us and more traditional resellers moving towards the services model” - Tako Nijssen.
