IT services set for double digit growth in 2023: What do you need to succeed?
When and where
Towards the end of 2022, Gartner set out its IT spending predictions for the coming year with an expectation of 5% growth. Yet closer examination of the data suggests that instead of enterprise IT spending being “recession-proof”, as EU wide inflation tops 11%, this limited growth prediction seems less impressive. A further interpretation suggests that the heavy lift for IT growth is carried largely by services and software.
In tougher economic times, the perceived wisdom is that CAPEX declines while OPEX increases and reports from IT suppliers suggest that this is the case again. The desire for OPEX based solution is good news for the MSP community but competition is rife. To capitalise on the opportunity requires better strategies for not just winning new business but also streamlining costs to counter aggressive pricing from rivals.
