EU claims unique Google concessions

The EU says it has won concessions from Google over its search engine tools which go beyond any other regulatory deal, especially those in the US.

Bechtle sales rise 8%

According to preliminary figures, Bechtle AG generated revenues of approximately €2.27 bn in the 2013 fiscal year, an increase of over 8% compared to the previous year. EBT rose by ca. 12% to approximately €89 m (previous year: €79.3 m). The EBT margin improved from 3.8% in the previous year to 3.9%.

Check Point posts strong Q4 result

Check Point has posted a 5% growth to $387.1m (€286.9m) in total revenues for the fourth quarter 2013. The increase in quarterly profit was driven by better than expected sales of new data centre appliances and threat prevention software blades, it says.
