Japan's NTT Ltd has appointed Andy Cocks as its chief go-to-market officer. Cocks joins NTT’s global executive team after leading NTT’s go-to-market business in the Asia Pacific region, and more recently as chief technology officer.
He will be relocating from Singapore to his native UK, and will report directly to global chief executive officer Jason Goodall. Launched on 1 July 2019, NTT Ltd brought together 40,000 people from brands including NTT Communications, Dimension Data and NTT Security to create one $11bn turnover company.
In his new role Cocks will be responsible for leading sales operations and partner relationships worldwide. “Cocks will be working to ensure the newly-formed company and its global ecosystem come together so companies worldwide can benefit from its complete end-to-end capabilities,” said NTT Ltd.
Prior to joining NTT, Cocks headed up Equant’s field services Asia team and was the head of regional network planning at American Express.
CEO Jason Goodall said: “Our go-to-market strategy over the coming months will be a core component of the new NTT as we come together as one company. I know Andy will lead his team to success as we take our unparalleled capabilities to market.”
Cocks added: “We’ve created a company that boasts industry-leading products, solutions and managed services. It’s important we take these to market in the right way, partnering with our clients around the world as they make use of our full range of capabilities.”
Earlier this month, NTT Ltd launched a new cloud zone in Paris, France. The facility is aimed at mid-sized enterprises in France that are pursuing hybrid IT and multi-cloud strategies to run their workloads, and will also be offered to multinational companies to help support their digital transformation efforts across Europe.
