Acora buys third service provider since investment

Managed service provider Acora Group has made a third bolt-on acquisition since its investment from private equity firm Palatine last year, and is expected to ramp-up its buy-and-build strategy in 2022.

The latest deal has seen Acora capture London-based IT services provider M9, which employs 40 and looks after almost 100 customers.

Founded in 1990, M9 has also established an international presence with the help of an offshore team in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Acora's previous acquisitions after the private equity investment were Veber and Westgate, and it now employs almost 500 after the M9 buy.

“Our customers now have access to a broader range of solutions and services, as well as Acora’s exceptional skills and talent pool,” said Grant Ingram, CEO of M9.

“The acquisition of M9 is the third off market deal completed by Acora and is testament to the quality of its proposition and the strength of its M&A team that these deals have been completed, given the conditions faced in the last 18 months,” said Andy Stickland, senior investment director at Palatine. “I’d expect to see a number of further acquisitions in 2022 as the business has a strong pipeline of opportunities, which will deliver both scale and additional capability to the group.”

Headquartered in Burgess Hill, West Sussex, Acora Group has offices in London, Birmingham, Bath and Milton Keynes.
