ADVA extends NFV partner programme in Europe

Network virtualisation solutions partners added in Ireland, UK and Sweden, plus US, Australia

Germany's ADVA Optical Networking has expanded its Ensemble Harmony Ecosystem with six new partners to push its network virtualisation and cloud offerings.

The new partners are Iricent of Ireland, Jolata in the US, Netrounds of Sweden, Quortus in the UK, Senetas of Australia and Viptela in the US. ADVA said: “With these new additions, the Ensemble Harmony Ecosystem now offers customers an even greater choice. It enables communication service providers (CSPs) to simplify the transition to cloud-based services in a way that best suits the specific needs of their business.”

Julian Fay, CTO of Senetas, said: “By adding our high-assurance encryption solutions to the Ensemble Harmony programme, we're providing CSPs and enterprises with easy access to scalable and robust data protection for all Layer 2 networks and topologies.

In other news, ADVA Optical Networking has announced that its FSP 3000 platform with ConnectGuard encryption technology has been approved for the transmission of classified data by the German Federal Office for Information Security (BSI). The approval means that the ADVA FSP 3000 can be used to transport data with security classifications up to the level of "Classified: For Official Use Only" as well as for “restricted” EU and NATO data.
