Agilitas IT solutions have launched the Agilitas e-Ventory Charter as part of its commitment to providing sustainable inventory management services across the IT Channel sector.
The launch coincides with the unveiling of Agilitas’ Sustainability Pledge to ‘Act with Impact’, an initiative designed to create a circular economy that supports a more sustainable and healthy future, the company said.
“At Agilitas, we are fully committed to supporting the channel with solutions that Recycle, Rework, Reuse to extend the lifecycle of IT products and exceed targets for a more sustainable future,” says Shaun Lynn (pictured), CEO of Agilitas. “Our vision is simple. To act with impact and build a more sustainable and healthy future for our planet, people and partners, working towards the UK’s crucial ambitions for net-zero carbon emissions by 2050.
According to the global channel services provider, e-Ventory Charter outlines the elements of its services, operational and internal initiatives that contribute to this mission.
The Charter includes a Recycle, Rework, Reuse model whereby in 60% of cases, Agilitas can repair a faulty part to OEM standards and place it back on the shelf to reuse. The Charter also features its Inventory-as-a-Service proposition, which the company says provides a best practice methodology where vendors can access a robust EOL supply chain.
Within the Charter, Agilitas outlines its commitment to reducing its carbon footprint through efforts such as automating some roles, using electric vans to transport inventory between its logistics hubs and minimising workers from travelling through a remote working for all policy.
“Sustainability is in the DNA of our Inventory-as-a-Service model, which is an essential part of our work to help create a circular economy that is better for the environment and our customers,” Lynn adds. Our objective is to minimise waste is at the heart of the Agilitas culture and we’re determined to take action to create a greener channel ecosystem for our planet, people and partners.”
To help meet the company’s objectives, Agilitas appointed compliance manager Deborah Johnson as the company’s head of sustainability.
