Digital security specialist RiskIQ has named its first European channel partner, Ignition Technology, as it seeks to promote its asset protection tool. It says its web crawling technology complements existing security solutions by helping companies identify and protect against threats on their digital ‘attack surface’.
Ignition Technology, a UK based distributor with offices in Fleet, Hampshire and San Jose in the US, has become a strategic distributor, with a remit to build RiskIQ’s services into its core product offering.
With more and more brands using social media, mobile apps, web sites and internet forums, there has never been a greater risk to a company and its customers through malware, defacement or impersonation, it says.
Peter Ledger, Ignition Technology CEO says: “We were looking for new security, service led products to introduce to integrators, resellers, MSSPs and Cloud Providers. We heard about RiskIQ from our Silicon Valley representative who had seen its success with the major banks and insurance companies. For us, it is definitely one of the star products that we are taking to the channel.
“Because it is so unique it sits nicely side by side other security solutions, without aiming to replace them. It is not often that a totally new concept for a security product comes along and we are delighted that we will be taking it to market.”
The RiskIQ Merit Partner programme aims to open up its solution to a strong network of security-focused partners across Europe. The RiskIQ partner model is split into three pillars:
- Merit partners – these qualify sales opportunities, refer them to RiskIQ and receive a referral fee
- Community partners – have greater involvement in delivering the RiskIQ services, providing advice and consultancy to customers and potentially integrating other security solutions
- Strategic partners – looking to build a specialist practice around the RiskIQ service, receiving higher degrees of interaction and support from RiskIQ.
