Scandinavian cloud and IT services player Atea has appointed a chief operating officer on the back of positive third quarter results.
Carl-Johan Hultenheim has been appointed to the newly created position of COO after previously being the managing director of the company's largest business unit in Sweden, which has 2,500 staff.
He will now have a leading role in the development and execution of Atea’s business strategy across the group, covering its managed services, supply chain, logistics, IT and service desk operations.
He will be a member of the senior management group of Atea, reporting to CEO Steinar Sønsteby. Sønsteby said: “Carl-Johan is a highly respected IT executive who has led a transformation at Atea Sweden during his nine-year tenure as managing director. He is excellent at communicating a vision and spreading energy to those around him.
“We have a clear strategy to develop our managed services and Carl-Johan is the ideal manager to drive this.”
Linus Wallin will be promoted as the new managing director for Atea Sweden. Meanwhile, for the third quarter ending 30 September, Norway-headquartered Atea saw group EBIT jump 18.6% to NOK 215m (€19.7m), while sales climbed 4.6% to NOK 8.2bn.
There was a 54% sales increase in Finland and the Denmark unit returned to profitability from a loss a year ago.
