Austrian mobile payment firm buys business in Greece

Aims at top place in Eurpean Carrier Billing and Mobile Messaging market

Austrian mobile payment services and carrier billing and messaging provider DIMOCO has announced it has bought a Carrier Billing and Messaging business of Amaze in Greece.

Amaze, which was set up as a start-up company in Greece, is a specialist in value added services (VAS) through mobile, IVR and web channel. Under the terms of a deal, all the contracts of the aggregator business of Amaze will be transferred to DIMOCO and the former aggregation director at Amaze, Lily Xenou, has been promoted to a position of Managing Director at DIMOCO Greece.

The technical migration of customers is set to follow this move without causing any disruption to the continuity of the services, the company says. Xenou, who will run a DIMOCO Greece and serve as a prime contact for the customers, has 15 years of experience and expert knowledge of the mobile communication market. “DIMOCO is a leading player in the Carrier Billing and Mobile Messaging market in Europe. I am very proud to be part of this international group managing the Greek business and its expansion into new markets” says the new managing director of DIMOCO Greece, Lily Xenou.

“Now with Greece under our wings we strictly follow our expansion strategy to become Europe’s no. 1. Building on Amaze’s excellent business relations, DIMOCO Greece will offer our international customer base an additional marketing opportunity,” adds the co-founder and CEO of DIMOCO, Gerald Tauchner.
