Barracuda Networks has announced two new Azure regions for its data protection services - in Sweden and Switzerland - to meet “growing customer demand” in these countries.
The new regions are based in Gävle, Sweden and Zurich, taking the total number of Azure data storage and management regions to 13.
Barracuda’s Cloud-to-Cloud Backup software-as-a-service product line protects data stored in Microsoft 365, delivering a “fast” search and restore experience covering Teams, Exchange Online, SharePoint and OneDrive.
New business sales for Barracuda Cloud-to-Cloud Backup are said to be growing at 34% year-over-year.
Chris Ross, chief revenue officer at Barracuda, said: “As more organisations move to the cloud, they are looking not just to protect their backed-up data, but to store that data locally to help meet industry, national and international regulatory and compliance demands.
“With the new Azure regions in Sweden and Switzerland we are further enhancing the service we provide to customers.”
