Global push to build partners

Big Switch Networks has appointed Claudio Perugini as vice president of worldwide channels, who has been tasked with expanding the company's global partner programme.

The data centre software-defined solutions provider focuses on supporting OpenStack, VMware, container and big data customer projects.

Mike Hoffman, Big Switch Networks VP of worldwide sales and chief revenue officer, said: “Claudio brings channel expertise, leadership experience and a proven track record in sales and channel strategy, and I look forward to partnering with him as we continue to scale our global go-to- -market efforts.”

Most recently, Perugini was EVP, worldwide sales at LightCyber, which was acquired by Palo Alto Networks this February. Prior to LightCyber, Perugini spent nearly five years at Gigamon, and before that he was at Fluke Networks.

Perugini said: “My success has always been in working with the channel and partners. I look forward to growing the channel programme so that partners and end-users around the world can experience the flexibility, agility and intelligence of Big Switch’s next-gen products.”

Big Switch is headquartered in Santa Clara, CA, with offices in Tokyo, Melbourne, London and Istanbul.
