Ekco's acquisition of IT and cybersecurity expert Bluecube is set to more than double the scale of its operations in the UK.
This move, the largest in Ekco's history and its fourth in the past year, pushes the company's revenue over €150m, and enhances its managed service and cybersecurity offerings.
Central to this expansion is Bluecube's 24/7/365 SoC in Milton Keynes, which will bolster dedicated IT security services for Ekco's UK clients.
Jonathan Crowe, co-founder and COO of Ekco, said: “This deal forms a key part of our overall growth strategy, which is driven by a vision of unlocking the full potential of insightful and responsive IT and cyber security solutions to our growing customer base.
“Having access to Bluecube’s 200+ people, all with specialist skills, as well as their impressive list of customers, made this an easy decision for us. As soon as we met the Bluecube team, we knew they would be a great operational and cultural fit for Ekco and would significantly enhance our ability to serve our UK customers.”
This deal marks a continuation of Ekco's growth in Europe and the US, with a team that has grown to over 860 people in just four years.
Prior to Bluecube, Ekco's expansion included acquisitions of Radius, xTEN, iSYSTEMS, and Unity Technology.
