Cisco expands hub in Poland

One of three new locations worldwide to support global 24x7 working

Cisco has announced plans to further expand its Polish site, Global Services Centre in Krakow, through the addition of a new Network Operations Centre (NOC).

Krakow has been chosen to host a new hub as one of the three Cisco’s locations worldwide, along with a similar hub in the US and India, Cisco will now be able to offer 24/7 service for key clients, regardless of their time zone, it says.

NOC is a part of the Cisco’s Cloud and Managed Services unit. The customers served from the new centre will include leading European and global telco operators, goods companies as well as insurance and finance institutions, Cisco says.

Polish NOC’s key function is to support and help monitor of the customers’ networks and software infrastructures and help them react to any issues.

Currently Cisco has more than 500 staff in its Krakow hub .
