Cisco has opened a second Webex Calling data centre in the UK, to improve the handling and quality of video calls and other services.
The new data centre, located in Manchester, complements the existing data centre in London.
For Webex Calling, the new local point of presence in Manchester will enable enhanced call quality, reliability, and reduced latency, Cisco said.
Amey Parandekar, VP of product management at Cisco, said: “We’re bringing our Webex Calling services closer to customers and partners with the addition of a new data centre in the UK.
“The continued expansion of the Webex platform allows customers to meet evolving regulatory and compliance requirements, and demonstrates our commitment to driving continuous service enhancements for our global customer base."
