Computacenter has opened a new office in Dresden in eastern Germany to better serve its expanding DACH and CEE customer base. The Dresden service desk is where Computacenter provides IT support for its corporate customers, including more than half of all DAX 30 companies.
Initially, 60 employees have moved into the new office and another 100 will be recruited this year and trained for IT support. The goal is to employ a total of 200 employees in the office.
Marc Mogilski, director of service desk and Poland Delivery and responsible for the Dresden location, said: "The new office is right next to the Elbe-Park shopping centre, making it an attractive location. In addition, we offer our employees many additional benefits that distinguish us as an employer.”
The 2,690 square metres of office space is over two floors. Computacenter has around 20 locations throughout Germany, and says it currently has job vacancies ranging from IT sales, consulting and project management to IT service management and IT operations.
In the Dresden office, the company says it is looking to recruit “first-line analysts” who are the first point of contact for customers in the IT support team when it comes to “disruptions in the IT environment”.
The Computacenter German business overall has recently outperformed both the UK and French businesses when it comes to sales and profit growth. The firm opened a new service support centre in Poznan, Poland last year to support operations in Germany.
