Managed hosting company PlusServer AG has bought two more companies in Germany - MESH GmbH in Dusseldorf and Mainlab GmbH in Frankfurt. The two transactions will increase PlusServer's revenue by an eight-figure sum, it says.
The move means PlusServer, with offices in Europa and the US, is expanding its offerings further into managed colocation and cloud services.
"Like every company, MESH not only wants to maintain its standards both for customers and employees, but to continually improve them. With PlusServer as our 100 percent shareholders, we can take advantage of the support of a strong financial partner and experienced hosting provider, which will continuously drive the development of our company," explains Claudia Gharavi, who will remain as CEO of MESH GmbH after the acquisition.
Matthias Hennrich, one of the two managing directors of Mainlab, adds: "As all three companies complement each other perfectly in their respective core competencies, there are optimal synergies and business opportunities. There has been a long history of cooperation between PlusServer and Mainlab, so a stronger connection was the next logical step to open up further benefits to the customers of both companies."
For PlusServer's CEO Thomas Strohe the acquisition of both companies was a logical step towards the future: "Our strategy is clearly focused on growth," he pointed out. With over two million active web sites and around 40,000 customer systems in two data centres in Europe and the US, PlusServer offers individual server infrastructure to primarily medium-sized businesses and large enterprises.
