Darktrace shakes up exec team with new appointments

Darktrace has made several executive management changes following the departure of CMO Emily Orton and CPO David Palmer. 

The UK-based cybersecurity has appointed David Walden as CPO and brought aboard Carolyn Esser as CCAO, joining from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation where she was deputy director, communications, EMEA. 

The firm has also elevated Max Heinemeyer, VP of cyber innovation, to the role of CPO to replace Palmer who will join Darktrace investor 1011 Venture Capital as a general partner at the end of August. At his departure, Palmer will join Darktrace’s Advisory Council.
