Belgium cloud communication services provider Destiny has further expanded its international presence with the acquisition of France's IPLine.
The Rhône-Alpes region-based capture specialises in hosting and securing the digital assets of companies, and extends Destiny's French offering in those markets after it bought Alliantel earlier this year.
IPLine offers network services, data hosting, information systems security and unified communications solutions. ISO 27001-certified for all of its offerings, the company has built and and manages its own hybrid cloud infrastructure and secure networks.
The operator is particularly active in the healthcare sector and offers its Healthcare Data Hosting solution (HDS), enabling it to support healthcare establishments in a compliant manner. To support its services IPLine relies on six data centres in the Rhône-Alpes region and in Île-de-France, enabling the full redundancy of its data management offering.
Thierry Coussy, IPLine co-founder, said: “Our 17-year history in digital asset management and our data security obligations allow us to join Destiny with the shared ambition to provide our customers with the best in secure communications in the cloud - on a European scale.”
Daan De Wever (pictured), CEO of Destiny, added: “We are expanding our expertise and strengthening our position as a reliable partner in cloud communication solutions for SMEs as well as large enterprises.
“This merger is part of our ambition to become a key player in Europe in terms of cloud communications. We want to be one of the preferred suppliers in the markets where we are present.”
IPLine's co-founders Coussy, Willy Chantre and Franck Dunière all become shareholders of the Destiny group and will join the Destiny management team in France.
Destiny group now has 450 employees across Belgium, France and the Netherlands, including 180 in France. The group said it should now reach a turnover of €120m in 2021, of which 40% will be generated in France. The value of the latest acquisition has not been disclosed.
Destiny customers include Cevora, Colruyt, Decathlon, Democo, DPD, Ecover, Gabriëls, Interparking, Katoen Natie, McDonald's, Würth and ZEB.
