Integrator DXC Technology is building its Microsoft business by acquisition with two moves that it says will strengthen its position as an independent system integrator for Microsoft solutions.
DXC Technology has acquired UK-based Microsoft Gold Partner eBECs and Australia-headquartered reseller Sable37. Sable37 and eBECS will be combined with DXC’s Eclipse practice to enhance its digital transformation strategy. The combination will significantly expand DXC's Dynamics 365 ERP, CRM and analytics cloud capabilities across regions including the UK, says DCX. In 2016, CSC (which became DXC via its merger with HPE Enterprise Services) made eBECS its channel delivery partner for Microsoft Dynamics in the UK, parts of EMEA, Saudi Arabia and North America. This was after CSC buying 40% of eBECs' share capital. Last year, DXC acquired Tribridge, a US-based specialist in Dynamics 365 system integration. Tribridge was also added to the Eclipse business.
“The acquisitions enhance our ability to address client needs and add significant value to DXC’s Eclipse global business,” said Troy Richardson, senior vice president and general manager for enterprise and cloud applications at DXC. “They allow DXC to expand and enhance its cloud-first business with software, services, systems integration and cloud offerings - particularly in financial services, retail, manufacturing and public sector verticals.”
Hayden Stafford, vice president of worldwide business applications at Microsoft, said: “The expansion of DXC’s Microsoft practice is another great step forward in our global collaboration and consolidates DXC’s position as a leading Microsoft Dynamics 365 Gold partner.”
eBECS is headquartered in Chesterfield, Derbyshire, UK and also has operations in Ireland, Jordan, Saudi Arabia and North America. eBECS, which has a turnover of around £35m, was already part-owned by DXC before this transaction.
