Privacy shield in place
In spite of some legal challenges in the last year, the year-old pact underpinning billions of dollars of transatlantic data transfers should get the green light from the EU after the first review to ensure Washington protects Europeans’ data stored on US-based servers.
The conclusion will come as a relief to the over 2400 companies signed up to the EU-US Privacy Shield including Google, Facebook and Microsoft.
