IT Europa announced today that it will stage the European IT & Software Excellence Awards 2020 in London on 19 March 2020. Now in their 12th year, the Awards are given for IT solutions that get to the heart of customer issues, delivering better business, a clearer understanding of data, and more efficient and profitable outcomes. A panel of judges, with many decades of experience of IT industry involvement between them, will select projects and companies from the entries submitted that they believe truly reflect both the strength of Europe's IT industry and many of the changes in direction occurring within it.
John Garratt, head of judges panel: “We continue to push out the core message about just what the IT industry is capable of doing in changing how people, businesses and organisations function. This year, some of the categories have changed again to reflect the technologies and delivery being used in the real world of IT provision. Particularly, in uncertain times, the IT industry needs to be able to demonstrate that it can make a difference and improve organisations’ and individuals’ effectiveness.”
2019 was a record year for entrants (winners shown on stage in picture), with over 450 projects submitted from across Europe in a wide range of categories. There were particularly numerous and detailed entries in the various “innovation” categories, showing that the industry is alive to the possibilities of advanced technology provision, he says. The aim is to increase the level again in 2020.
The European IT & Software Excellence Awards 2020 will also aim to attract additional entries from emerging channels in security, data, services and SaaS as well as marketing and customer support. The Judges’ panel has been expanded to bring in more expertise in these areas.
