Spanish infrastructure firm Ferrovial has been chosen by Microsoft to build one of its data centre in Madrid.
The new facility is set to be built in San Sebastian de Los Reyes with the aim of achieving significant reductions in energy consumption and CO2 emissions.
The investment builds on a global alliance forged between the duo in February last year where both companies agreed to partner to advance the development of sustainable digital solutions for the construction, infrastructure and mobility industries.
The terms and value of the investment were not disclosed.
