Network connectivity and cloud services firm FluidOne has acquired managed security services specialist Cyber Security Associates (CSA) as it continues its M&A spree.
UK-headquartered FluidOne delivers many of its services through its national fibre network Platform One. CSA was founded in 2013 by David Woodfine, managing director, and James Griffiths, technical director, and they have over 50 years of combined military and cyber experience between them.
Previous projects cover a range of sectors including the UK Ministry of Defence, the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office and the Bank of England.
CSA serves organisations of all sizes with security protection services through its own security operations centre. Last October, FluidOne acquired PSU to add IT managed services and unified communications to its portfolio. FluidOne CEO Russell Horton said: “CSA adds a high-quality cyber security specialist to the group, as a sister company that we can introduce to the benefit of FluidOne customers and channel partners.”
CSA's Woodfine added: “We were at the point where we were seeking a strategic partner to invest in the business and support us in the next stage of our growth. There is a real fit with FluidOne's Connected Cloud Solutions strategy.”
CSA is an MSSP for AppGuard, the vendor for real-time protection against all endpoint and server malware and ransomware.
Following the investment, CSA will continue to be led by the founders and operate as a standalone security specialist.
