Data storage management company Hammerspace has unveiled a strategic partnership with Nimbus Data, a specialist in flash storage solutions.
This partnership is set to enhance Hammerspace's offerings, combining their data unification expertise with Nimbus Data's flash storage capabilities.
At Technology Live in London last week, CEO David Flynn (pictured), who emphasized that Hammerspace's strategy is 100% channel-focused, said: “We are primarily VAR channel. We do have two distis to help enable the VARs were helpful. Nimbus is a technology partner for storage infrastructure, as are other companies like Pure Storage and Infinidat.
“Over time, we see the opportunity for some joint development, but those details have not been announced yet. The joint prospects our solutions can bring together aim to reduce latency in the data path and build high-performance data pipelines on Ethernet networks.”
Last year, Hammerspace raised $56.7m in Series A funding, saw a 300% surge in sales pipeline, and a 65% increase in signed channel ecosystem partners.
Flynn explained: “We're already experiencing over 1,000% year over year growth in just the first two months of the year. Our growth is remarkably rapid. I believe it's largely due to our current business associations, but the reality is that every enterprise requires Hammerspace – they might just not realise it yet.”
Founded in 2003 and self-funded by CEO and founder Thomas Isakovich, Nimbus Data has over 200 customers, 700 installations, and has been profitable for the last four years, with a team of 30.
He said: “I believe this partnership is ideal, as we excel in our expertise, and Hammperspace excels in data orchestration. Together, we plan to collaborate and improve our technology."
