Infoblox names new EMEA vp

Plans growth in DNS security, hybrid cloud networks

Infoblox has added Europe to Cherif Sleiman's MEA role. As Vice President EMEA Operations, he is now responsible for business strategy across the region, tasked with driving growth within key business areas such as DNS security, and network control for hybrid cloud initiatives.

With over 20 years of sales, technical, and business experience with some of the world’s leading networking and telecommunications companies, including Cisco and Nortel Networks, Cherif has been the VP and general manager of Infoblox MEA for the past two years, during which he grew the regional business substantially, especially in the areas of DNS security and network control for hybrid clouds.

“With the rising number of DDoS attacks and data breaches, DNS Security has become mandatory to ensure safe computing in service provider and enterprise networks,” said Sleiman. “Organisations must realise that ignoring DNS as a threat vector can result in damaging consequences. The recent European Union General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) aims to strengthen data protection and will hold institutions responsible for any data privacy breaches.”
