Ingram Micro offers cloud services in Ireland

Extension of cloud marketplace

Partners of Ingram Micro Cloud in the Republic of Ireland get access to new services with the regional launch of the Ingram Micro Cloud Marketplace. The Ingram Micro Cloud Marketplace supports the Ingram Micro Ecosystem of Cloud, comprising buyers, sellers and solutions that enable channel partners and professionals to configure, provision, and manage cloud technologies on demand.

The Cloud Marketplace is already successfully used by the largest base of active Microsoft CSP resellers in the UK on a marketplace platform, says the company.

The Ingram Micro Cloud Marketplace is suited to partners looking to become cloud service providers, or enhance and grow existing cloud offerings to end users in a fast, easy-to-use way, based upon an e-commerce platform, it says. Acting as an intermediary between resellers and vendors, the Cloud Marketplace’s online portal aims to facilitate discovery and eliminate complex contracts. Partners can manage their entire sales and licensing process from the Cloud Marketplace, making it easier to attach complementary solutions, manage billing, wrap around managed services and more, it claims.

Apay Obang-Oyway (above), Director, Cloud Northern Europe at Ingram Micro Cloud, stated: “Extending the Cloud Marketplace to Ireland is the natural continuation of our ever expanding cloud capabilities across the region as we increase the footprint of the Ingram Micro Ecosystem of Cloud. The Partner community represented within our Ecosystem of Cloud already encompasses partners in Ireland looking to leverage the rapid Cloud adoption happening in the Irish market and beyond. Many of our vendor partners also chose Ireland as one of the first locations for their European operations, which is a testament to the country’s openness to new technology.”
