Jobs Board 27 March: Big channel players make key hires

Following its recent $23m Series B funding round, Cloudsmith, the Belfast-based cloud-native software management company, has announced three new senior hires, including Gareth Burns as head of technology partnerships.

Juliana Kelly has also joined as vice president of growth marketing, and James Matchett has been named as head of application security.

Cloudsmith serves the software supply chain security needs of Fortune 500 and Global 2000 enterprises.

-Veeam Software has announced the appointment of Drew Gardner as regional vice president, UK and Ireland. He joins from semiconductor manufacturing and enterprise software company Broadcom, where he led the Broadcom Software Group in EMEA North and Central (UKI, Nordics, Benelux and Central) for over four years. He delivered multi-cloud, hybrid cybersecurity to the largest, most complex, highly regulated enterprises in Broadcom's Enterprise Security Group.

Following the integration of the acquired VMware, his final year at Broadcom was spent leading the Enterprise Security Group business across EMEA. Before Broadcom, he spent over three years at CA Technologies, the enterprise software company also acquired by Broadcom, as EMEA North leader, solution strategy.

-Arc Systems has named Ruby Kitt and Laurie Staerck as head of HR, and head of business efficiency, respectively.

Kitt brings experience from across multiple industries, including the healthcare, media, and technology sectors. Staerck previously held senior roles at NatWest and, with over 34 years' experience in a corporate background, her role will champion continuous improvement for Arc’s customers.

With 140 staff, Arc supports over 600 businesses in the UK, providing everything from desktop support to cloud and data centre hosting and IT strategy, through to public cloud (Azure), SharePoint, Power Apps, AI and Purview.

-Network Group, a member-owned peer-to-peer community group for MSPs, IT resellers and retailers, has appointed Jenny Langelaan as business development manager. She joins to support an ambitious three-year growth strategy designed to further enhance the member experience through targeted educational and event content, benchmarking opportunities and wider outreach.

With a track record in sales and business development, she has held several management roles, most recently with Freedomtech Solutions, where she played a key role in helping CIOs, CTOs, and IT managers explore and implement emerging technologies to drive business success.

Network Group has welcomed six new vendors to the community since the beginning of January, including ContraForce, NinjaOne, Cynomi, Ethikai, Traceless and ESET.

-Cybersecurity services firm Netwrix has announced new executive appointments in its go-to-market leadership team. “These strategic hires underscore Netwrix's commitment to expanding its global presence, channel success, and product offering,” said the firm.

Britt Norwood joins Netwrix as chief revenue officer (CRO). He will lead all aspects of the company's customer lifecycle approach. With over 25 years of experience in technology sales, Norwood previously held senior leadership roles at Trellix, McAfee, Salesforce, and Cisco, helping to drive growth and customer success across global markets.

Stuart Robson-Frisby also steps in as vice president of EMEA channel. He will lead the expansion of Netwrix's network of distributors and channel partners in the EMEA region, “providing the necessary framework for growth and scalability”, said the vendor. Prior to Netwrix, he led channel initiatives at Tanium and Ivanti.

In addition, John Knightly takes on the role of chief marketing officer. A marketing executive with over 20 years of experience, he previously held marketing leadership roles with companies like Zscaler, BlueJeans, and Hewlett Packard Enterprise.

Finally, Terry Burgess joins as vice president for the Asia-Pacific and Japan (APJ) region. Before Netwrix, he led sales organisations in APJ for companies such as SailPoint, Dell, and Attachmate/NetIQ.

-ThoughtSpot, the AI-native intelligence platform, has announced the appointment of Micheline Nijmeh as chief marketing officer. Reporting to CEO Ketan Karkhanis, the strategic appointment to the leadership team is said to underscore ThoughtSpot’s commitment to disrupting the “old ways” of business intelligence, and empowering every decision maker with the power of data.

Nijmeh is a seasoned marketing executive at industry-leading companies, including ZScaler, Salesforce, and Xactly. Most recently, she served as CMO at JFrog, where she joined the company during its IPO and played a key role in driving its post-IPO growth, market expansion, and brand evolution.

-Hyperoptic, the UK alternative full fibre broadband provider, has named Mark Barlett as its new chief operating officer (COO).

His operational experience has been gained in senior leadership positions at Openreach, BT and, more recently, at Cellnex.
