Jobs Board 3 April: Big channel players make key hires

Canon UK & Ireland has named Guido Jacobs as managing director for the UK & Ireland. He previously spent over ten years leading Canon’s DACH region as ITCG (Imaging Technologies and Communications Group) country director.

He replaces Yusuke Mizoguchi, who spent 40 years at Canon, and six years in the UK & Ireland leadership position.

-DXC Technology has appointed Sandeep Bhanote as financial services industry leader for its Consulting & Engineering Services unit. He will report directly to Howard Boville, DXC president of CES.

Bhanote was previously vice-president and general manager at Clover by Fiserv, where he led go-to-market strategy for the mid-market and enterprise segments.

-Eric Dodd, CEO of the fashion retail-focused software company K3 Business Technologies, is retiring from the board and the company on 30 September, 2025.

His impending departure came with the news that K3 is considering a possible de-listing from the AIM stock market.

-Data centre services player and MSP Redcentric has announced the immediate departure of Brian Woodford, executive director and CEO designate, citing “personal reasons”.

Current CEO Peter Brotherton, who was planning to step down from the role after eight years doing it, will now continue until further notice.

-Unified file data platform Nasuni has appointed ex-Veracode CEO Sam King as its new CEO.

She spent over five years as CEO of Veracode, and has two decades of experience in cybersecurity, and joins Nasuni after the firm saw a strong FY24 in terms of growth in sales, customers and staff numbers.

King succeeds Paul Flanagan who is retiring after eight years in the role, but he will still serve on Nasuni’s board of directors as non-executive chairman.

-Snom Technology, a provider of IP-based telephony and communication solutions for professional and business sectors, has announced key changes to its leadership team.

After nine years as CEO for EMEA and APAC and managing director of Snom, Gernot Sagl has stepped down.

The Snom board of directors has also announced the promotion of Fabio Albanini to senior vice president of sales and operations for EMEA and APAC.

Previously serving as vice president of sales for EMEA and APAC, Albanini has been an integral part of Snom since 2009. In his new role, he will take on further responsibilities, overseeing Snom’s sales, marketing and operations. After his promotion, he will directly report to Hillson Cheung, president of telecommunication products at VTech.

-Cloud, disaster recovery, and backup specialist virtualDCS has announced a new senior leadership team as it enters its next major growth phase, following investment from private equity firm MonacoSol, which we covered last month.

Alex Wilmot steps in as CEO, succeeding original founder Richard May, who moves into a new role as product development director. Co-founder Dan Nichols returns as CTO, while former CTO John Murray transitions to solutions director.

Kieran Brady also joins as CRO to drive the company’s next stage of expansion.

-AMD has named Chrissie Harrison as sales director for its EMEA Component Channel business. With over 20 years of experience in semiconductor sales and marketing, she brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the role, said AMD.

AMD said her appointment further reiterates its commitment to its channel partnerships, after recently announcing James Blackman as its EMEA head of VAR and SI commercial sales.

-Commvault has announced the appointment of Bill O’Connell as its chief security officer.

O’Connell joins Commvault with nearly 20 years of cybersecurity, risk, and data privacy experience, including prior leadership roles at Roche and ADP.

He also previously served as chair of the US National Cybersecurity Alliance board of directors, and remains actively involved in various industry working groups focused on threat intelligence and privacy.

-DXC Technology has added TR Newcomb to the newly created role of chief revenue officer (CRO). Newcomb will report directly to president and chief executive officer Raul Fernandez.

He joins DXC from US fraud prevention specialist Riskified, where he was SVP of strategy and corporate development.
