Storage software vendor Scality has appointed Emilio Roman as its new global chief revenue officer. He joins Scality from Bitdefender, where he held the position of senior vice president, global sales and channels.
Emilio is no stranger to Scality, having previously served as the company’s top sales leader for the EMEA and APAC regions from 2014 to 2020.
“We welcome Emilio back to the Scality family,” said Jerome Lecat, CEO of Scality. “Emilio’s extensive cyber security experience and outstanding leadership skills make him the ideal choice to lead our global sales efforts as we continue to innovate and solve the world’s largest data challenges.”
-Cellhire, the global specialist in IoT, mobile and data connectivity, has appointed former Arkessa leader Royston Hoggarth as chairman.
Hoggarth steps into the shoes of Tim Williams, who founded Cellhire in 1987, and assumes the role of non-executive director.
-Canon EMEA has announced that Shinichi ‘Sam’ Yoshida will now be president and CEO for the region, succeeding Yuichi Ishizuka, who is retiring after seven years in the role, and a successful 44-year career with Canon.
Yoshida was previously based in the US, where he held the position of executive vice president and general manager of the marketing strategy unit, and chairman and chief executive officer of Canon Solutions America, and Canon Financial Services.
He takes over a regional sales organisation which has operations in 120 countries, employs approximately 12,300 people, and contributes about a quarter of Canon’s global revenues annually.
-Michael Herron has been appointed the new head of UK and Ireland at Atos Group.
He was previously at CGI, where he led the UK central government business unit through five years of revenue growth.
-Lineview, a specialist in manufacturing optimisation solutions, has appointed Gareth Morris as chief revenue officer.
Morris offers over two decades of experience in sales and business development. He has held senior leadership roles, including RVP enterprise sales at Salesforce, SVP international and SVP EMEA at Own, and VP and GM at Model N.
-NetAlly, a provider of handheld network test and cybersecurity solutions, is doubling down on its commitment to EMEA market growth with the appointment of Nathan Collins as regional vice president. “Collins brings decades of expertise to lead the company’s ambitious expansion strategy, focusing on empowering partners and enhancing network resilience,” NetAlly said.
With over 300 active partners across the EMEA region, NetAlly is transitioning to a fully two-tier distribution model to ensure its edge solutions are readily available in all major markets.
Collins has previously held senior leadership position at the likes of AvePoint, Commvault, and Druva.
-Cloud services management provider DoiT has announced the addition of five new senior leaders to the organisation.
The five new appointees are Ryan Pugatch, VP of product management; Kurt Heinemann, VP of marketing; Steve Lewis, VP of enterprise sales; Tyler Cyphers, VP of financial operations; and Amanda Hall, general counsel.
-Data4, a French operator and investor in Europe in the design, construction and management of data centres, has announced the appointment of Alexander Oyaert as its chief investment officer. Oyaert previously functioned as the chief of staff to the CEO, and will now be in charge of all Data4 Group M&A and financing activities.
