Keepit expands into Switzerland with two new data centres

Keepit, a Denmark-based cloud backup company, is expanding its footprint by opening two new data centres in Switzerland.

These facilities, which will be operated in partnership with data centre services firm Equinix, will comply with Swiss regulations and offer low-latency backup and recovery services for various SaaS platforms like Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, and Salesforce.

Jakob Østergaard (pictured), CTO of Keepit, said: “With each site holding full copies of user data - with two mirrored physical locations - our customers can be assured that their data is always available, regardless of the status of their SaaS provider.”

Additionally, Keepit is collaborating with Swiss IT consultancy Joker IT to facilitate this project.

Yannic Graber, founder of Joker IT and Microsoft MVP, added: “With Keepit’s launch of Swiss data centers and with our expertise, we're bringing the pinnacle of data privacy and compliance right to the heart of Switzerland.”

This move adds to Keepit's existing data centres in Germany, the UK, the US, Canada, Denmark, and Australia.
