Lenovo has announced that Jane Ashworth will join the company on 1 October as director of channel and SMB in the UK.
With over 20 years’ experience, Ashworth has held senior positions at a variety of major blue-chip organisations, including HP, Sony and more recently, running the UK business of education technology vendor SMART Technologies as managing director.
Preben Fjeld, general manager, Lenovo UK and Ireland, said: “Our channel partners are fundamental to our continued growth plans and Jane’s strong background in channel sales, channel development and product management, will further propel and energise the relationship with our partners in the UK and Ireland.”
Ashworth will be responsible for sales of commercial products and services into the channel and will have a specific focus on driving growth in small- to medium-sized businesses in the UK.
Lenovo recently launched a new channel programme focused on driving its market share in education, to recognise, reward and enable its specialist education channel partners. Ashworth's experience in selling a broad portfolio of commercial products and running a major educational technology company, will "help accelerate"the company’s efforts, said Lenovo.
