Managed Services Summit adds keynote: "How to buy another MSP"

The Managed Services & Hosting Summit, now firmly established as the leading Managed Services event for the UK IT channel and in its ninth year, always aims to provide insights into how managed services continues to grow and change. Next month's event will hear from IT Lab Group CEO Peter Sweetbaum  (pictured) who will discuss how to build and grow MSP businesses and the process of acquiring another service provider. Peter will cover his experience in growing an MSP business alongside the major issues that arise in M&A; from how to deal with customers on both sides to best practices on integrating services, technology and culture across teams.

Under Peter’s leadership, IT Lab Group has bought several companies. Most recently, in August 2019, it acquired Mirus IT, the long-standing Milton Keynes-based managed services provider. ECI-backed IT Lab previously acquired Content and Code in September 2018 and Perspective Risk in May 2017. With a combined turnover approaching £75m, IT Lab delivers 24/7 IT managed services, cloud solutions and cyber security services to its now 890+ managed service clients.

Interest in the event is high as customer demands push suppliers into a strategic advisory role, and the pressures for compliance and resilience impact the business model at a time of limited resources. Managed Service Providers, other channels and their suppliers can evolve new business models and relationships, but are looking for advice and support as well as strategic business guidance. A packed day or fast-paced engagement with experts and specialists make this a must-attend event for MSPs. Register here

The Managed Services & Hosting Summit 2019 features conference session presentations by major industry speakers and a range of sessions exploring both technical and sales/business issues. Regarded by previous attendees as one of the most useful features, the summit will also provide extensive networking time for delegates to meet with potential business partners. The unique mix of high-level presentations plus the ability to explore and debate the related business issues with sponsors and peers across the industry makes this a must-attend event for any senior decision maker in the IT channel.

Peter Sweetbaum will also be speaking at the Manchester Managed Services Summit on October 30th. more details here
