At DattoCon Europe this week, Kaseya has announced significant changes to its leadership in the EMEA region with Dermot McCann (pictured) appointed as Executive Vice President and General Manager for EMEA.
McCann, who previously served as Senior Vice President and General Manager for APAC, will now lead Kaseya’s efforts across Europe. Originally from Galway, McCann will be based in London.
Interviewed during Dattocon Europe, McCann shared insights about his transition and the evolving landscape of the MSP market. He noted, "The European market is incredibly diverse, and each country has its own unique needs and challenges. One of my key goals is to ensure that we respect these differences while delivering a consistent, high-quality experience across the region."
He also highlighted the importance of localized support, stating, "If I have a business in Germany, they want to speak with a German account manager who understands their specific regulatory environment and market conditions."
Discussing the challenges and opportunities in Europe, McCann commented, "The market here is facing intense economic pressure, with some regions experiencing double-digit inflation and others dealing with recession. This creates a challenging environment for MSPs, who must balance cost increases with customer retention."
He also mentioned the need for a nuanced approach, saying, "An MSP in the south of England has different priorities from one in the north, and the same goes for different countries across Europe."
In addition to the leadership changes, Kaseya also announced the European launch of Kaseya 365, a comprehensive endpoint backup solution integrated with cybersecurity features.
McCann explained, "Cybersecurity is no longer an option but a necessity for businesses of all sizes. Kaseya 365 ensures that our customers are protected with enterprise-grade security and backup solutions, making it easier for them to manage and secure their IT environments." The new product aims to provide robust protection and streamlined management, reinforcing Kaseya’s commitment to supporting its partners in an increasingly complex cybersecurity landscape.
